Yes - A visa is required for travel to Philippines

A valid passport and 9G missionary visa are required to travel to Philippines.

Passport Requirements:

Original, signed passport valid for 6 months beyond stay in the Philippines, with at least one blank passport page available for Filipino visa stamp. Plus one copy. Amendment pages in the back of the passport are not suitable for Philippine visas.


Philippines Visa Application Form:

Two notarized visa application forms. After placing your order, fill out the application forms included in your visa application Kit. Signature must be original on each application.


Photo Requirements:

Four recent (taken within the last 6 months), identical, 2 x 2 passport photographs, in color, front view and with a plain/light background. They must be signed at the front, bottom of each.
San Francisco: photographs do not need to be signed


Other Forms:

Each of the following notarized:

  • SEC certificate of registration.
  • Articles of Incorporation and the by-laws of the organization.
  • Missionaries credentials.
  • Bureau of immigration clearance certificate.


Letter Of Invitation:

Notarized letter of invitation from the host organization or sponsor in the Philippines explaining the relationship to the applicant and the purpose of travel to the Philippines. In addition, the letter must indicate the length of stay, place of stay, and host’s name and contact information.


Criminal Record:

Police report or good conduct record provided by local police department.


Medical Requirements:

Medical examination by an authorized physician (completed in the last 6 months), must include a chest x-ray, lab reports, and a certificate that the applicant is free from AIDS.


Proof of Sufficient Funds:

San Francisco: you must provide proof of sufficient funds in the form of your most recent bank statement.
